One of my strengths as an educator has always been to connect to the students that are not only in my classrooms, but those of the school. It has always brought a smile to my face when I hear how happy they are to be in my classroom, or the hopeful looks on those students that long to sit in one of my desks.

I have always aimed to create a positive atmosphere in my classrooms. One where students understand that I set standards, and that I will work alongside them to accomplish and surpass them. Each and every one of my students knows the expectations of being a part of my class - and it makes me proud to be able to say that they work diligently to make me proud, and what they find in the end is that they have made themselves proud as well.

My students know that we work hard, but conversely, we also play hard. I enjoy being able to recognize and celebrate achievements within my class, and I hope to be able to take that and adapt it to become a school wide initiative.
